It’s cheaper, healthier, more sustainable and easy
Strolling through the cold beverage section in Whole Foods today, my eyes landed on the coconut water. Loaded with potassium, magnesium, calcium and other minerals most Americans are lacking, it’s more hydrating and balancing than plain water and has become a new favorite of mine.
I couldn’t decide between the large 365 brand bottle for $3, or the much smaller Harmless Harvest brand bottle for $5. Harmless Harvest obviously was the higher quality product, as it is “raw” (never heated) and organic. Whole Foods 365 brand, along with the rest are flash pasteurized which kills the enzymes and destroys some of the nutrients. But I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend $4 on a tiny plastic bottle of electrolyte water.
