A black-masked bandit caught in the biggest heist of his career

When it comes to raccoons, if there’s a will, there’s a way. This particular fuzzy-tailed creature hit the jackpot when he somehow made his way into a vending machine full of candy bars at Pine Ridge High School in Deltona, Florida.

He waited until the dark of night, when all the children were gone, to make his move. He quietly crept down the hall and slid in through the hatch at the bottom of the machine.

Little did he realize that it was trick door. Once you get in, you can’t get out.

School officials found the trapped raccoon the next morning and called the sheriff.

“This gentleman was apprehended today while committing a burglary of a vending machine,” the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Deltona Animal Control put the vending machine on a dolly and wheeled it outside, where they opened the machine so the bandit could make an escape.

Thankfully no one was hurt and deputies did not say if the little trash panda will be facing charges.
