Sexual Repression is the Foundation of Human Slavery

April 17, 2017 at 4:39 pm

You can’t make a man or a woman into a slave without first cutting him off from his life-force (sexual) energy, says one of my favorite gurus, Osho. The following excerpts are from Osho’s talk “The Fundamental Slavery the talk that has fueled my quest for sexual freedom and awakening over the last three years:

“Sex is the most powerful instinct in man. The politician and the priest have understood from the very beginning that sex is the most driving energy in man. It has to be curtailed, it has to be cut. If man is allowed total freedom in sex, then there will be no possibility to dominate him. To make a slave out of him will be impossible.

How Praise and Rewards Can Be as Damaging as Punishment

March 31, 2017 at 7:58 pm

Parents of our generation are coming to understand that punishment is psychologically damaging and ineffective at improving children’s behavior. But many of us who’ve condemned spanking and solitary confinement (time-outs/grounding) are still unaware of the damage created by a more insidious form of control – rewards and praise.

While a “good job” here and an “atta boy” there seem harmless enough, psychologist Robin Grille says praising or “rewarding children’s compliance is the flip-side of punishing their disobedience.”

“I’m not ashamed that I don’t like to work,” a 37-year-old cyclist adventurer told Business Insider two years ago. “It’s just very unnatural.”

Like Alexander Supertramp, “Ultra Romance” has rejected the capitalist industrialist system he was born into and gone Into the Wild.

Waking Up to Alarm Clocks is Literally “Torture,” Body Clock Scientist Says

March 2, 2017 at 5:31 pm

Alarm clocks are throwing off our circadian rhythms, which can cause all kinds of disease. Body clock scientist calls for moving the start of the business day to 10 a.m.

Employers worldwide have been “torturing” their employees with sleep deprivation since the industrial revolution by making them come to work when they should be sleeping, says Dr. Paul Kelley of Oxford University’s Sleep and Circadian Institute. The same goes for schools and their students.

Why There Was No Such Thing as “Work” for Hunter-Gatherers

February 24, 2017 at 2:30 am

“Work” was play for hunter-gatherers because it was varied, flexible, optional and there wasn’t too much of it. The minimal tasks required for their survival were skillful, fun and done in a social context.

In “civilized” societies, our worth as individuals is measured by how hard we work. From a young age, we learn our value is determined by our productivity.

As a culture, we have become so obsessed with the concept of “work,” our entire identity is wrapped up in what we do to make a “living.”

The good news is it hasn’t always been this way, which gives us hope that it doesn’t always have to be this way.

Kerrygold Butter Was Too Popular, So Wisconsin Outlawed It

February 21, 2017 at 8:33 pm

It’s no surprise that America’s Dairyland isn’t thrilled by the increasing popularity of a foreign competitor, but the depths to which the State of Wisconsin has stooped to outlaw Kerrygold Irish butter are outright un-American:

Smash the Clock!

February 17, 2017 at 3:56 pm

Man, our consciousness is expanding so fast right Now, I couldn’t decide whether to write about it or just experience it.

I was just lying in bed with my daughter and my cosmic husband, my twin flame, feeling like we were the holy trinity.

I felt so tempted to drift into the 5th or 6th dimension (or whatever dimension we’re in in our “dreams”) with them just Now, but I stopped myself and told myself – “no, you need to be Here now, in the third or fourth dimension (or whatever dimension it is when we are “awake” and able to feel ourselves pinching ourselves.)

Photo of Breast Milk Repelling Harmful Bacteria Goes Viral

February 10, 2017 at 9:31 am

Amazing photo shows how breast milk repels harmful bacteria like e.coli and MRSA

A photo showing droplets of breast milk fending off armies of harmful bacteria in Petri dishes is going viral on Facebook.

The photo, posted by a biology student in England, features nine Petri dishes completely colonized with the bacteria M. Luteus, except in the center, where tiny puddles of breast milk have created what looks like “moats” of protection around themselves.

The student, Vicky Green, said she had similar results with Petri dishes full of e.Coli and the dreaded anti-biotic resistant “super bug” MRSA.
